An editorial desk for fantasy cricket players.
The desk writes captain picks, points-system guides, match predictions, and player profiles — built for fantasy players who want a clearer read on every fixture, every night.
What we publish, and what we don't.
The desk is editorial. The desk does not run contests, take deposits, or process payments. Every piece of content is reviewed against the standards below.
Operational facts
Any operational detail about a brand — app version, license, payment method, bonus terms — is verified against the brand's own channel before publication. If we cannot verify, we say so.
Observations and reads
Captain picks, predictions, and player projections are the desk's editorial reads. We publish what the data supports, flag what it doesn't, and update as the picture changes.
Unverified claims
If ownership, license, payment, legal status, or any other unverified claim would otherwise fill a page, the desk states what is known and what must be verified — never invents the rest.
The desk's process for every piece.
Editorial is a process, not a vibe. Here's the order the desk follows for captain picks, predictions, and operator guides.
Read the venue
Surface, dew, boundary dimensions, and the venue's matchup history — the structural read on the fixture.
Read the role
Which roles gain value from the venue and the format — the projection that the captaincy builds on.
Read the form
Recent minutes, boundary rate, and the four-match form window — the player-level read on top of the structural read.
Publish the call
Consensus pick + contrarian option + reasoning, with the data attached. Update as team news, weather, or playing conditions change.
How the desk is funded.
The desk's editorial standards exist independent of any commercial relationship. Here is what we will and will not do.
What the desk does
- Publishes affiliate links to the brands the desk covers — affiliate revenue is disclosed on every page that uses them.
- Publishes operator guides with the brand's app, download, and bonus code entry — these are reading lists, not endorsements.
- Discloses conflicts on the editorial standards page whenever the desk has a material relationship with a brand.
What the desk does not do
- Run contests, take deposits, or process payments. The desk is editorial, not operational.
- Invent ownership, license, payment, legal status, or company data. If we cannot verify, we say so.
- Accept payment to alter a captain pick, prediction, or review. Affiliate revenue does not influence the editorial read.
How the desk handles corrections.
Editorial desks are wrong sometimes. The desk's correction process is open, dated, and visible.
How do I report an error?
Email the contact address on the contact page with the URL, the error, and the source you have. The desk reviews every report and responds within 48 hours.
What does a correction look like?
A dated note at the bottom of the page that explains what changed, when, and why. The corrected version stays at the same URL — we don't redirect to a new page for every typo.
How fast are corrections published?
Material corrections (a wrong captain pick, a misquoted operator term, a broken internal link) are published the same day. Stylistic and minor copy edits are batched into the weekly refresh.
The desk is built to be read, not to be sold.
Editorial standards exist because fantasy cricket is a long game. Trust is part of the read.
The desk's methodology, in summary.
Every piece on the desk follows the same methodology: read the venue, read the role, read the form, publish the call. Here's the long-form version of how the desk applies it to captain picks, predictions, and operator guides.
For captain picks
The captain pick is built from the venue (surface, dimensions, dew), the projected XI (role, batting order, bowling order), the form window (last four matches, role security), the contest type (cash vs GPP, field size), and the matchup (head-to-head at the venue). The desk stress-tests the pick before publishing and adjusts as team news arrives.
For predictions
The prediction is the captaincy call extended to the full lineup. The desk reads the venue first, the role second, and the form third — and publishes the call with the data attached. The "last update" timestamp shows the freshness of the read.
For operator guides
The operator guide is the verification checklist extended to the platform. The desk reads the brand's official channel first, the app store listing second, and the user reports third — and publishes the read with the sources attached.
The methodology at a glance
- Read first, then write — the data is the foundation, the call is the result
- Verify before publish — primary source, then secondary, then tertiary
- Update as the picture changes — team news, weather, surface
- Correct openly — dated notes at the bottom of the page
- Disclose funding — affiliate revenue is disclosed on every page that uses it
The methodology is the desk's editorial standard. Every piece on the desk follows it — captain picks, predictions, operator guides, and the editorial reviews. The standard is the same for every page and every brand.
